IT Technician
The IT Technician is responsible for day-to-day support of corporate and customer technology needs. This includes hardware and software support, as well as Digital Signage Software, company database, and programming. The IT Technician will report to the VP of Technology and is based out of our Seattle office.

Summary of essential job functions
• Complete first level end user support requests
• Provide corporate hardware, software, network, and peripheral support
• Provide remote or onsite field support to our remote office sites
• Troubleshoot technical issues (desktops, laptops, servers, network, wireless, printers, faxes, scanners, etc.)
• Provision new user accounts, workstations, laptops, servers, phones, and mobile devices such as Blackberry
• Ghost/image laptops and servers
• Document installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures
• Maintain detailed records of hardware and software inventory
• Participate in various operational projects as assigned by IT management

Minimum requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities –
• Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
• Fluent in Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Linux.
• Fluent in wireless access point setup and configuration
• Hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience with PCs and peripherals
• Highly motivated with strong sense of ownership
• Eager to learn new skills and technologies
• Good communication and customer service oriented skills
• Flexibility in a fast changing business environment
• Willingness to participate in all levels of IT operations projects
• Dependable and able to meet deadlines consistently
• Open to working occasional off-hours for emergencies or planned maintenance
• Open to travel to remote sites to provide onsite support as needed
• Know programming language, i.e. Java or C or .NET

Experience:
• B.S. Computer Science preferred, with 1-3 years experience working in IT
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, MySql, Postgresql, or MS-SQL
• Prior experience with Dell laptops, Dell Servers, and Symantec Ghost a plus

Abilities required
• Ability to lift and/or move up to standard computer equipment, including servers, power units, routers, and switches.

Video Internship
Channel M is looking for a post-production/production intern. You will be working on multiple national shows. This is a part-time, non-paid internship position for which we are offering a great opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience in a fast paced and fun atmosphere. Your duties will include general assistance to the editors, digitizing video, assisting the crew on shoots, data entry for our rapidly growing video library, video screenings, tape stock management, shipping, etc. Applicants must be willing to learn something new every day, be computer savvy, creative, reliable and attentive to detail. We would also love to see a demo reel if you have one!

School credit will be offered for this internship.
